Ever Since AJ was in my tummy, Jason has talked about a "fishing buddy". Jason fishes with his dad to this day. As we were leaving for the reunion, Jason had his and AJ's fishing agenda down. We had to make sure all of the fishing poles/tackle boxes were in place. After we arrived at the reunion and Uncle Joe and Aunt Marlene promptly stole my son to go on a paddle boat, Jason retrieved all of the fishing material. Jason had AJ all over the place with his little scooby-doo fishing pole (hook and sinker in tact). I didn't see the bass that Jason caught and I also didn't see AJ *KISS THE FISH*. Yes my son, AJ Spears, kissed a bass. I love fishing and can handle the gritty work that goes with it. Never been much of a *girly girl* but even that is just too much for me.

AJ and Daddy at the tackle box
The next thing I know, Jason and AJ come running up the bank with rod/reel/ and fish in hand. AJ caught him a little blue gill. He was grinning from ear to ear. (daddy helped him pull it in) He was not afraid of that slimy, squirmy, floppy fish at all. We had to make sure he didn't get his fingers caught on the gills. He held that fishing string and was SO proud of that fish. He didn't even cry when daddy took the fish off and set it free back in the lake. AJ helped. It was amazing to watch. Not only was AJ so proud of that fish, his daddy was so proud of him!!! Nothing makes my heart melt more than to watch Jason with his son and the looks of pure proudness and joy that cross his face. Brings tears to my eyes. AJ has a wonderful daddy and for that I am thankful to God.

Look at that face!!! I (heart) him....

Look at those two faces!!! I (heart) them BOTH!!!!
